Criminal Defense Specialist

Attorney Dischley is a criminal defense attorney specializing in all forms of criminal cases throughout Virginia.  From traffic offenses to major felonies, Attorney Dischley has over 10 years experience of criminal law practice.  He represents individuals in both State and Federal Court throughout Virginia.

Law School/Law Clerk

Attorney Dischley is a 2006 graduate of the George Mason School of Law.  He was a member of the Trial Lawyer’s Association at George Mason School Of Law where he competed in Moot Court competitions amongst other schools.  Additionally, while attending school full-time, Dischley clerked with the Loudoun County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.  In his third year of law school, practicing under the supervision of licensed attorneys, Attorney Dischley took the lead in over 100 bench trials and 10 jury trials.  Additionally, prior to graduation, Attorney Dischley sat 3rd chair in a prominent murder case alongside James Plowman, Commonwealth Attorney, and James Fisher, Deputy Commonwealth Attorney.

Assistant Commonwealth Attorney (Prosecutor)

After graduation, Attorney Dischley joined the Loudoun County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney, prosecuting an array of criminal cases from DWI / DUI offenses to Robbery.  He was the recipient of the 2006 Victim-Witness Award and had the opportunity to work “Cold” Homicide cases alongside Loudoun Sheriff’s Office Investigators.  Dischley also advised the Loudoun County Narcotics Unit.

Attorney Dischley left the Loudoun County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office for a position with the intelligence community.  In this position, Dischley’s role was advising on crime and narcotics issues plaguing national security interests.  Attorney Dischley worked extensively on financial crimes and money laundering of narcotics entities along with addressing poppy cultivation in Afghanistan. Despite being recognized for his efforts in countering international financial crimes and narcotics smuggling, Attorney Dischley missed being in Court and joined the Fauquier County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.

In this role, Attorney Dischley continued building upon his experience by prosecuting all types of criminal cases in the General District, Juvenile and Domestic Relations, and Circuit Courts.  He was an advisor to the Blue Ridge Narcotics Task Force and was recognized for his exceptional trial work by the Sheriff of Fauquier County.

Before the Law

Attorney Dischley enlisted in the United States Marine Corps weeks after graduating from High School. He served with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in Okinawa, Japan and with H&S Battalion at Quantico, Virginia. Attorney Dischley was promoted to the rank of Corporal. While stationed at Quantico, Attorney Dischley started attending Northern Virginia Community College; working on his Associates in Applied Science in Administration of Justice. Attorney Dischley graduated cum laude from Northern Virginia Community College on the same day he exited the Marine Corps. While working full time as a Uniformed Protective Officer for the Diplomatic Security Service with the U.S. Department of State, Attorney Dischley continued his undergraduate studies and graduated from George Mason University, with distinction, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice.

Before starting his own law practice, Attorney Dischley worked at one of Northern Virginia’s preeminent boutique litigation firms – Bose Law Firm, PLLC. Attorney Dischley continues to serve as a legal advisor to a local municipal police department and has written on a number topics related to Virginia criminal defense. Attorney Dischley was profiled in the New York Times Business Section in December 2011.  Attorney Dischley  is an experienced trial attorney and has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Association – Top 100, SuperLawyers Rising Stars (2014-Present),and is a member of the National College of DUI Defense. Attorney Dischley focuses a majority of his practice on the zealous defense of individuals charged with criminal offenses throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The results that Attorney Dischley is able to achieve are unprecedented and are based on his ability to laser focus on the issues in the case.

Attorney Dischley provides legal services to law enforcement officers that are members of the Southern States Patrolman Benevolent Associations. Attorney Dischley is licensed to practice law in all Virginia courts, including the Federal District Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts.
